The Abba Eban Institute for
Diplomacy & Foreign Relations

Our Mission Statement and State of Mind
The Abba Eban Institute for Diplomacy & Foreign Relations at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy at Reichman University, together with the Samson Chair for Israeli Public Diplomacy, is a policy-oriented research institute dedicated to strengthening Israel’s diplomatic capacity and international standing.
At a time of prolonged conflict and profound rupture, the Institute is recalibrating its efforts to build connections and help shape a forward-looking foreign policy suited to the regional and global challenges of the decades ahead. It advances analysis, policy development, and international engagement to strengthen the practice of statecraft, treating diplomacy as a core instrument of national power.
Diplomacy and Strategy for a New Era
The Abba Eban Institute for Diplomacy and Foreign Relations examines how Israel can redefine its role and strategic posture in a rapidly evolving regional and international environment shaped by war, uncertainty, technological acceleration, and structural shifts.
Israel must recalibrate its foreign policy priorities and build the capacity to meet the current and emerging challenges.
